WELCOME TO
LISGAR BORDER TERRIERS & WELSH CORGI PEMBROKES
LISGAR KENNELS is situated on 3 acres in a semi rural suburb called Acton Park in southern Tasmania. This small kennel was established in 2002 after having a beautiful blue and tan Border Terrier bitch, named Tilly, sent to me by Dee and Ian Paterson from Stormvale Kennels in South Australia. This stunning bitch is the foundation bitch for my kennels and is now known as GRAND CHAMPION STORMVALE BORDA TRIBUTE, she has exceeded my expectations and is the most loving smooch to have as my house mouse. That is of course when she has finished reading the riot act to the ferals rabbits which just love to tease her through the fences. My love of dogs has always been a given though it took my parents many years to realise this, and so in 1979 for my thirteenth birthday I was given my first dog. A wiggly eight week old tri coloured Pembroke Corgi named Flash or LINDFERNE FLASH BOY. He was bred by Bill and Thea Joseph of Lindferne kennels. This was my first show dog and though he wasn't really cut out for show I fell in love with the breed and dog showing. My life has been shared with Corgis and for a short time was adopted by a Bull Terrier until Border Terriers took over my life! Lisgar wouldn't be Lisgar without Gary, my wonderful husband, and Jason, Jack and Erin my beautiful children. Erin has followed in my footsteps and not only is she great company at the shows but also a fantastic young handler and helper. Presently Erin is venturing out with an English Springer Spaniel, Azucroft Might And Power a stunning young dog co-owned with Cindy Gangell, Robert and Yvonne Lauder.
